The Coordinating Center accepts payments of Credit Card or Check and details are located on the registration form. All registration fees will be charged prior to the meeting. The coordinating center will send receipts via email or can be picked up at the meeting.

If you or your Pepper Center prefers to pay by check you can still submit your registration online and there will be a payment option to provide details of a check payment and how to submit your payment. If you prefer to mail in your registration or email directly to the Pepper Coordinating Center a PDF form is available for you to access here:

A block of sleep rooms has been secured at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View and are available to be booked at a rate of $284.00.

Junior Faculty Annual
Meeting Scholarships

The Pepper Coordinating Center will award scholarships to selected junior faculty attendees from each Pepper Center.  Junior Faculty scholarships will be chosen by their Pepper Center Leaders and scholarship awardees must identify themselves on the registration form by selecting "Pepper OAIC Junior Faculty Scholarship Awardee".

Junior Faculty Scholarships will cover:

  • Registration fees for 1 junior faculty member per center
  • Attendee’s Hotel sleep room charges for up to two nights (to be used by either 1 junior faculty member for two nights or split between 2 junior faculty members for one night each). 

Junior Faculty Mock Study
Section Call for Applications

Deadline Monday, March 12, 2018

The Junior Faculty Session held Monday, April 30 will consist of a mock study section.  If you would like to participate in the mock study section, we request applications be sent to the Coordinating Center for selection of review in the Mock Study Section.  Applications will need to be submitted to the OAIC Coordinating Center via email no later than Monday March 12, 2018.

The Mock Study Section accepts all types of proposals (R21, R01, pilot applications, K08, etc). Preferred format is a full PDF document. All proposals should include a cover page containing the following details: PI Name, Pepper Center, Funding Mechanism, and Proposal Title.

Senior faculty attendees are invited to participate as senior reviewers. Senior faculty reviewers will provide a short written review of the assigned proposal by filling out at least the Overall Impact section of the standard NIH form.

Poster Session

Deadline Monday, March 12, 2018

The Poster session is to be held on Monday, April 30 prior to dinner. It will be open to all attendees to attend and participate. Posters submissions are required to submit an abstract to accommodate their poster prior to the meeting. Additional details are provided in the Poster Presentation Guidelines below.

Match up Session

The annual match up session will be held Monday, April 30 after the dinner. Attendees must indicate on their registration if they plan to participate in the Match up. Once registration is complete the Coordinating Center will contact the junior attendees for match up preferences. Matches are based on first come first serve.

This activity is available to allow for attendees to mingle and meet and gain insight from senior faculty in your field of expertise in a casual atmosphere. We strongly encourage all to participate!
